Weekly rentals:

Weekly rentals are only available from Saturday to Saturday during June, July and August.
A signed contract and a non-refundable $500 deposit will reserve your week at Island Daze with the balance of rent due thirty days prior to your arrival date.
The base weekly rate is $1,600, plus taxes of 12.75% , which comes to a grand total of $1,804.00 and includes departure cleaning.
Check in at 3:00 p.m. on your arrival date and check out at 10:00 a.m on your departure date, unless prior arrangements have been cleared by the owner

“Just stayed in this wonderful cottage on Oak Island! We LOVED it…. It was even better than expected. You can actually see the ocean from the deck! 3rd row back is not the same here, everything is scaled down, family oriented, relaxing and old school vibes in this town. Vanessa is an excellent host, easy to contact , and seems to care about your stay. The 3 large bedrooms fit our family of 5 and we loved the creek in back to kayak. I will definitely recommend (but only to my friends so they don’t steal my dates lol)! If you are looking for a chill place to relax and enjoy the beach, OKI is the place to go, and Island Daze is the perfect place to stay.”
“My family and I had such a lovely week at Island Daze. We appreciated that the house is walking distance to the beach, the grocery store (Publix), and the park, where we attended an outdoor concert and the farmer’s market. There’s a creek right in the backyard, and we were easily able to rent kayaks and go kayaking there. The creek was also a lovely place to just sit and relax. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed to cook throughout the week, and it was the perfect amount of space for a family of four. Oh and we loved the hammock. Thanks, Vanessa!”
“After a BEAUTIFUL vacation in May, it was so hard to leave Oak Island this year! Our time at Island Daze was glorious—just what the three of us needed after a challenging year. We loved the location (close enough to ride our bikes to Dairy Queen and the grocery store but still with plenty of privacy), and the cottage was perfect for our needs. I spent as much time sitting and reading by the creek (in the back yard) as I did on the beach. We biked (many miles), walked, sunned on the front deck, chilled in the hammock, fished (highly recommend Oak Island Fishing Charters), and stayed up crazy-late enjoying the great supply of board games (#ScrabbleBattlesGalore!). The Davisons’ are a joy to work with and they are eager to answer questions and provide what’s needed for a memorable stay. Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation. We hope to return soon!!”
“This is a great beach house to vacation on Oak Island. It has that small beach town feel. It has a view of the ocean and is a quick 2 minute walk to the beach. The A/C is cool and the house is clean. It has a park style grill in the yard. You can relax in the hammock under the house after an outdoor shower. It’s just the perfect place to get away from life for a week and is very affordable. This was our 4th time renting and never had any issues.”
“Vanessa is always a pleasure to worth with. She makes reserving, check in and check out a breeze. The home is always spotless. The kitchen is well stocked. Location is easy walk to the beach. The guys love the bait fishing in the back yard. My favorite part is sitting under the house in the shade and enjoying the hammock. I’ve rented 3 times and will be back many more.”

They have a wonderful house. Vanessa was very helpful in assisting us with this last minute get away. The house is really nice, very clean, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay at the beach. The pictures don’t really show you how nice it really is, or how close you are to the beach.”

“Perfect Family Vacation in a lovely immaculate beach cottage!! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We just returned from our first visit to OKI and were so happy we chose to stay at Island Daze! The house was adorable, immaculate, and had everything we needed for our Family of 5 to stay for the week! My children are 8, 5 and 3, and it worked out great. The outdoor shower with the large dressing area was great and entertaining for the kids to to use from the beach, the hammock under the house and the paved area was perfect for them to play and ride their bikes at night! The Front deck was perfect for sunsets and to enjoy during the evening! The location was perfect, a quick 2 minute walk to the beach, and was very convenient to the Food Lion, Restaurants (Pepperoni Grill was great and SO close) and other things to do on the island. Also a 10 minute drive to the Southport Ferry we took to Ft Fisher two days to site see and do the aquarium (fun for kids and only $5 for a car load). The waterway behind the house was fun for crabbing, and we even went to the playground down the road. The house had everything we needed, great well equipped kitchen, movies / games, washer/dryer, flat screen tv and comfy beds!!! Vanessa was so great to work with and very accommodating!!

“Cozy Cottage! Just enjoyed a wonderful week staying at Island Daze. The cottage was immaculate! The kitchen well stocked-I let my husband play chef while I sipped wine out on the upper deck or lounged in the covered carport enjoying cool evening breezes. And several evenings, we both sipped wine, on the beach, a block and a half away, watching the glorious sunsets. Besides sipping and lounging, we also headed right out the back door to Davis Creek and launched our canoe spending several hours watching egrets, herons and ospreys. And cannot get over how easy it was to bike everywhere from our central location—especially nice to bike three blocks away for terrific pizza at Pepperoni’s or head out to snag some delicious doughnuts at Ahoy Doughnuts. One very nice perk was the outdoor shower and dressing area—a treat after long days of beaching, biking and canoeing! We also loved driving less than 10 miles to Southport for lunch at The Market (their hummus is amazing!), souvenir shopping and hopping aboard the Fort Fisher ferry with our bikes—$8 round trip for the two of us and our bikes! Vanessa and Jeff—we will be back!!”
“Cute beach cottage in great location! We had a great time! We are regular visitors to oak island but this was the first time we have rented a beach cottage, and it was a great choice. We were visiting with friends from the UK and they were very excited to be so near the beach. The house was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, good shower and handy extra half bathroom. The kitchen has all the equipment you need for a vacation stay, and the outside hot shower stall and storage space is great for sandy beach gear and rinsing off sandy feet! They even supply some beach toys! Lovely big front balcony where you can see and listen to the sea, on a quiet road where you can watch people leisurely cycling up and down. Quick trip to shops, restaurants, etc. A great place to stay, and nice, helpful owners. Vanessa was very efficient and friendly.”
“What a wonderful week! It was a long drive from Missouri but we did it in one day and are so glad so we could spend every available minute on Oak Island. This home is as close to paradise as you could get. The grandchildren fell in love with the uncrowded beach that was a very short walk away. Catching crabs in the water behind the house was also a highlight of our stay. The home is very well equipped for cooking and relaxing. The hammock in the area under this pole home was an added delight. Grilling a couple of meals was easy on the built in charcoal grill. I cannot really give enough praise for this vacation spot and the helpfulness of its owners. We are already planning a trip back.”
“Exceeded Expectations! I have rented many vacation properties and these homeowners have their priorities in order. This is one of the cleanest properties I have seen. The kitchen is well stocked. The comfortable beds offer a restful nights sleep after a long day at the beach. The location is a short walk to the beach and short drive to groceries, shopping, and the pier. Vanessa is a joy to work with and very accommodating on short notice. I love Island Daze so much I stayed there 2 times in 2 weeks and I will definitely be back.”

“Perfect for a family with young kids! This home was perfect for our family - we have three young children. The home was clean, the deck perfect for them to play on safely and us to drink our coffee without worrying about them “escaping” our sight. And it’s not a beach palace so we weren’t worried about them destroying anything. Plenty of space with the three bedrooms and an easy walk to the beach. Everything you’d need to cook for a group is in the kitchen. We especially loved the outdoor shower with WARM water! Sometimes it was just as hard to get the kids to come in from their shower as it was to get them to leave the beach. And the beaches on Oak Island are very nice. We were there during the quieter season and basically had it to ourselves! Lots of shells to pick up, sand to dig in, clams to catch, and water to play in. We were there every day for hours until the girls were ready to collapse. If you don’t want to eat at home, we found plenty of delicious restaurants close by, as well as a couple parks for the kids to play at. Ahoy Donuts was at the top of the list - best fritter ever! Definitely check out Shagger Jacks, Joseph’s Italian Bistro, and Bella Cucina. (I think the last two are actually Southport addresses, but still we would recommend them!) Most of all, the people on the island are incredibly kind and friendly. With three kids ages four and under we can be a little rambunctious. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the people were!”
“Wonderful! My family and I rented this house over Memorial Day Weekend and couldn’t have been happier with our accommodations! The pictures really don’t do the home justice. The grounds were well maintained and the house is bright, comfortable, and very clean. We really enjoyed waking up and having a cup of coffee on the front deck while relaxing and taking in the ocean views. The outdoor shower with hot and cold water was a huge plus after a day on the beach. It’s about a 2 minute walk to have your feet in the sand and all the shops/ restaurants/ attractions are within a 5 minute drive. The owner, Vanessa, was quick to respond to any questions we had and was happy to accommodate our requests. I would definitely recommend this house to friends and we hope to come back and visit very soon.”
“Island Daze over Memorial Day weekend! This cottage was perfect for our group of 4. In close proximity to everything you need. For fresh seafood I recommend Pelican seafood on island or if seeking ‘whole fish’ the same off island or Clems’. We’ll certainly stay here again the next time we visit OKI.”
